To connect to your own OpenAI API Key, go to platform.openai.com and log in with your account.
In your dashboard, select API keys.
Here you're going to Create new secret key. Give it a name and copy your Key.
Go back to your Chatbot Builder account. Go to Settings > Integrations >OpenAI. Click Connect and paste in your API key.
If you want your bot to just provide your basic business information to your customers, this is the easiest place to do it.
Go to Settings > Integrations >OpenAI. Then click Edit. Put all your information in the Business Information (Prompt) section and click Continue. Make sure as well that the 'Automated Response' is turned on.
You can now test your chatbot in any channel your chatbot is connected to.
To test it in webchat, go to Settings > Channels > Web Chatbot, then click Manage. You can customize your web chatbot. Once done, choose Get Link and click Copy.
Paste the copied URL into your browser and you can now test your chatbot.
Here are some key points to keep in mind:
Consistent Monitoring: It's crucial to regularly monitor your OpenAI API usage to ensure that it aligns with your quota limits and usage expectations. This can be done through your OpenAI dashboard
Quota Limit Alerts: If, at any point, your AI applications fail to respond appropriately, or if you notice unexpected errors in your logs, it could indicate that you have reached your quota limits. It's necessary to replenish your quota to restore normal functionality. You can do this by upgrading your plan or purchasing additional quota from OpenAI.
Token Limit Conditions: To proactively manage your API usage and avoid exceeding your quota limits, we recommend implementing token limit conditions in your bot setup. These conditions can help regulate the frequency and volume of API requests made by users.
Please note, there is a $20 reinstatement fee if you wish to switch back to CBB API Key. To initiate the reinstatement process for your CBB API key, please send a request to our support team by creating a ticket here. Provide relevant details, such as account ID. Upon receiving your request, our team will carefully review the circumstances surrounding the need for reinstatement. Based on the outcome of the review process, we will either approve or deny your request for reinstatement.
